The Update:

Happy Sunday Naaman Forest Band Community.

The Area students have battled hard this past Saturday. We are so proud of their dedication and work this past All Region season. Please help us congratulate these individuals:

  • Kevin Grijalva - 9th grade Trumpet

  • Mason Campbell - 10th grade Trumpet

  • Jackie Gutierrez - 11th grade French Horn

Special congratulations to our senior saxophonist, Rafael Lebedenco! He managed to be first in our Area to secure a spot in the All-State. To put things in perspective, out of all the 5A saxophonist students, Rafael managed one of the top eight saxophones in the entire state of Texas! He will be going down to San Antonio to rehearse and perform with the TMEA All-State band in San Antonio during February.

Pep Band 1 vs. Hampton Prep is this Monday. Call time is 4:30, attire is jeans with either Green, khaki, or orange Naaman shirt. Be there or be square.

Volunteer Needs: On Tuesday, we are requesting 1-3 volunteers to run the concessions for Visitors North Garland V. Wylie.

Hosting NTCA at Naaman is fast approaching and we need as many willing hands to make the event run smoothly. Parents, our boosters will reach out soon with additional information. If you are wanting to volunteer, please contact Ms. Lydia. We will also be asking for specific donation for concessions or potluck items for the director’s hospitality room. Thank you in advance! Additional information will be updated soon on the events page of NTCA.

We will be deep cleaning the Band Hall this week. We are hosting the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps over the upcoming weekend. All personal items must be stowed in your lockers or taken home by Wednesday. Lost and found will be discarded by Wednesday. Please look through for any misplaced personal belongings.

  • Full Ensemble: Wednesday 3:30 PM - 5:30

  • Low Reeds sectionals: Thursday as needed

  • Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:00 AM

Symphonic Band will rehearse:

  • Brass Sectionals: Monday 3:15 - 4:15

  • Full SYM rehearsal: Tuesday 3:25 - 5:00

  • WW Sectionals: Friday 3:15 - 4:15

Percussion will rehearse:

  • Wednesday 3:30 - 5:00
