July Percussion Camp


July Drumline Camp 2025

Dates: July 21 - July 25

Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm (Daily)

Location: Naaman Forest HS (Band Hall)

Estimated Daily Schedule:

9:00am - Doors open to the band hall

9:30am - Music Fundamentals Block

10:30am - 12:00pm - Battery: Marching Basics and Conditioning, Front Ensemble: Music Block

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Lunch

1:00pm - 1:30pm - Student Sectionals/Individual Practice/Facilities and Equipment Management

1:30pm - 3:00pm - Battery/Front Ensemble Music Sectionals

3:00pm - 4:00pm - Full Ensemble

Lunch:

  • Students are responsible to bring their own lunch

  • Students may not leave campus during camp hours, including lunch

  • Parents may drop off lunch/food for students, but please be mindful that rehearsals resume promptly at 1pm

  • Students should not plan to have access to a refrigerator or microwave

  • Please try to enjoy a healthy lunch that provides energy and nutrition for the afternoon. Avoid fried, fatty foods and excessive sugar.

Daily Expectations:

  • Earplugs are required for all indoor rehearsals with battery instruments.

  • Students should bring a large reusable water bottle to all rehearsals. A half gallon water Igloo water jug is required for all band members before the beginning of the school year.

  • Students should have sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat. A hat is required for all outdoor rehearsals when the sun is present

  • Students should wear closed-toed athletic shoes, and comfortable active wear suitable for outdoors and warm weather.

  • Arrive early to be prepared to start rehearsal on time.
