Greetings NF Percussion. The next few weeks, we prepare our cluster percussion concert and the upcoming Timber Creek Percussion Festival performance.

Cycle 4, Week 3 (3 Week), April 5 - 11

Monday
- During A1 - Pad Fundamentals, Fallen Stars
- No rehearsal afterschool (NFPE Canceled)
Tuesday
- WIND ENSEMBLE (B5) CALL TIME IS 7:30am
- During B5 + B6 - Pad Fundamentals, and Ensembles
- During B7 - Mr. Mehrafshan working on Level 8 and Checkpoint A
- No Rehearsal afterschool
Wednesday
- During A1 - Mallet fundamentals, Fallen Stars, Cadence
- NFPE afterschool, Rogue Agent from 3:30 - 4:30, Sculpture from 4:30 - 5:30
Thursday (Testing Makeup day)
- WIND ENSEMBLE (B5) CALL TIME IS 7:30am
- During B5 + B6 - Mallet Fundamentals, and Ensembles
- During B7 - Mr. Mehrafshan working on Level 8 and Checkpoint A
- 2026-2027 Band Parent Meeting from 6-7pm
Friday (B Day)
- B5 + B6 - Duet Check, Ensembles

Concert Band Season

Per Mr. Falls, B5 class will start at 7:30 for the foreseeable future

2026 Drumline Audition Information

Auditions Packets are now available for the 2026 Naaman Forest Drumline. Auditions will be held on Friday, May 1. Information is available on the main percussion page in the members section above.

Enhancement Series/MS Drum Club

This week, Middle School Drum Club will be on Wednesday from 6:30-8. This week’s Enhancement will be part 2 for drumset. Click HERE to register.

School Supplies

School owned equipment and mallets provide an opportunity for all to have the best experience possible in band and keeps costs down for all. Our program has also been very fortunate to be in a position that has provided wonderful, top of the line equipment and a selection of mallets for all instruments.

As we progress, it is important that we understand the value of these items and that it is everyone’s responsibility to take care of everything.

To help us gain a greater awareness of our responsibility and appreciation for our resources, the following will be in effect:

All Students will be expected to use their own concert snare sticks when needed in class.
- The following models are acceptable options: Innovative Percussion IP-LD, Innovative Percussion CL1, Vic Firth SD1
- Percussion Supplies can be purchased at Dallas Percussion or Steve Weiss Music
Any school owned mallets that are left out and not put away properly will no longer be available for use.

All school owned implements will become available for use if we can successfully go 2 weeks meeting the expectations above. Currently, we have gone 0 days without leaving implements out .

Drumline Jersey Payment

Drumline Jersey payments are past due. Multiple students/families have not made payments and will be receiving notice in the coming week requesting payments be made immediately. Please review past weekly percussion updates for details on costs and how to provide payment.
