We are entering our final week of band camp and the new school year is around the corner!
We have 3 performances this week! Let’s take a moment to look at all the details.
Full Band Camp, Aug 3 - 8
Sunday
No rehearsals, free
Monday, August 3
Performance and camp from 6:30am-12pm
6:30 - Call Time for all percussion students
7:00 - Performance at the Curtis Culwell Center (CCC) for the District Transportation Summit
Attire: Wear Naaman Forest items, jersey’s if available.
8:00-12:00pm - Camp rehearsal
12:00pm - Students are dismissed for the day
Tuesday, August 4
Band Camp from 1pm-8pm
Dinner Break is from 4-5pm
All need to be prepared for outdoor rehearsals.
Students will need to have the following each day:
reusable water bottle (1/2 gallon recommended, students may use the band ice machine)
comfortable athletic clothing, appropriate for being active outdoors.
Hat and closed toed athletic shoes
Sunscreen for battery members.
Wednesday, August 5
Band Camp from 1pm-8pm
Thursday, August 6
Ranger Roundup Performance NEW
Call time: 8:15am
Performance from 8:40am-9:15
Attire: Wear Naaman Forest items, jerseys if available.
Students are encouraged to stay around after the performance to volunteer as a band representative, speaking to students and parents about our program.
This event is the school’s Freshmen Orientation. All 9th Grade students should plan to participate in our performance that is before the event begins. Once this event starts, all 9th Grade students will be dismissed to attend Ranger Roundup.
Due to limited notice, this event is not required if you already have plans or issues with transportation. Please communicate conflicts to Mr. Collins so that adjustments can be made.

MAC Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Call time is 9:30am
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will begin at 10:00am

3 Performances Added to our Schedule
We have been invited to participate in 3 upcoming events to support our community. There will now be some adjustments to our schedule as a result. My apologies for the late addition. Thank you in advance for planning accordingly. Please reach out to Mr. Collins as soon as possible with any concerns.
August 3, Performance for Transportation Department and Adjusted Camp Schedule - 6:30am - 12pm
6:30am - Call Time for all percussionists.
7:00am - 8:00am - Performance at the CCC for the Transportation Department kick off celebration
Students need to wear Naaman Forest spirit items, Jersey’s are preferred.
8:00am - 8:30am - Transition/Break
8:30am - 12:00pm - Camp Rehearsal
12:00pm - All Percussionists are dismissed for the day.
Note - Due to the morning performance, percussionists will now have a new and different schedule than the rest of the band. This schedule applies only to Monday, August 3.
August 6, Ranger Round Up
8:15am - Call time
8:40am - 9:15am - Performance
Students may volunteer to stay after the performance until 10:30am to be band representatives.
Due to the late communication of this event, it will be acceptable for students to miss this performance if they have pre-existing conflicts. Please contact Mr. Collins so appropriate plans can be made.
August 8, Performance for the NFHS Campus MAC (Multi-purpose Activity Center) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - 9:30am - 11:00am
9:30am - Call Time for all percussionists
10:00am - Performance and Participation at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
11:00am - Lunch Break
12:00pm-4:00pm - Drill Camp Rehearsal
Reminders:
Mandatory Band events scheduled with at least 2 weeks will be graded starting Monday, August 3
A parent must email Mr. Collins in advance of the event to have unavoidable conflicts be considered excused.
Hats, proper shoes, athletic clothing appropriate from warm-weather, and a large, reusable water bottle are required for all rehearsals.
