We are heading into our big week for percussion ensemble!

This week will be packed as we prepare for a great concert on Friday and performance at Saturday’s North Garland Percussion Festival.

- NFPE Dress Rehearsal from 3:30-7:00

Friday
- NFPE Cluster Percussion Concert from 7:00-8:30pm
  - Sound Check from 4-5pm, and full run of Never Gonna Give You Up at 6pm
Saturday
- North Garland Percussion Festival from 9am-4pm
  - Performance Selections include Watercolor Sun and La Vida De La Noche

Supplies

Please make sure you bring concert snare sticks and a practice pad to band class every day.

1 box of tissues per student is requested. One has observed this request, many more have used the tissues.

Percussion Ensemble

Our cluster percussion concert and performance at the North Garland Percussion Festival are quickly approaching. Please note the rehearsal schedule over the next two weeks. We will have rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday. We will have our “dress rehearsal” on Thursday, April 24. The concert will be on Friday, April 25. We will perform at the North Garland Percussion Festival on Saturday, April 26.

Concert Band Rehearsal Schedule for the Week

Wind Ensemble will rehearse on Monday from 3:30-5:30. Symphonic Band will meet on Tuesday from 3:30-5:30. Please continue to stay aware of communications from Mr. Falls and Mr. Choi for rehearsal plans.

Jazz Band will rehearse from 3:15-4:45 on Wednesday.

Drumline Audition Clinics, Audition, Music Clinics and May Camp

The process of setting the 2025-2026 Naaman Forest Drumline begins this Monday with our first Audition Clinic. Please look over the updated percussion section in the members portion of this website for details on our upcoming events for those that will be a part of our group next year.

Audition Clinics are designed to prepare students for auditions. It is a time to explore new instruments and learn the audition expectations.

Drumline Auditions are when students demonstrate their abilities individually and are formally placed on an instrument in our drumline.

Music Clinics are meant to establish the fundamentals of our assigned instruments and we begin learning music as an ensemble.

The May Drumline Camp is designed to introduce the first portion of our show, cadences, daily warm-ups, and marching fundamentals as we prepare for the well deserved summer break. At the end of this camp, we are truly the 2025-2026 Naaman Forest Drumline.
