Percussion: Week of September 1 - 7

We have kicked off Football season and our contest season is around the corner. Great work with the new routines.

This week we have 2 extended after school rehearsals, a game on Thursday, and we are introducing our 2 mallet solos.

Cycle 1, Week 4 (B Week), September 1 - 7

  • Monday

    • No School (Labor Day)

  • Tuesday

    • During B5 - Battery will not go outside, focus will be 2 Mallet solos and review of snare solos.

    • During B7 - Front Ensemble, focus will be 2 mallet solos and review of snare solos.

    • Extended after school rehearsal from 3:30 - 7:00 at Naaman Forest

  • Wednesday

    • During A1 - Cadence and Pep Band Run, Truck Loading

    • Extended After School STADIUM Rehearsal from 4:00-7:30pm at Williams Stadium

  • Thursday

    • During B5 - Battery WILL go outside to run drill team routine, focus for the remainder of class will be The Bloom

    • During B7 - Front Ensemble, focus will be fundamentals and The Bloom

    • Football Game - Against Princeton at Williams Stadium from 3:00 - 10:30pm

  • Friday (B Day)

    • During A1 - Pep Band and The Bloom

    • Free - No after school activities

  • Saturday

    • Free!

  • Sunday

    • Free!

FanPledge Fundraiser Update

After our fundraiser kick off this past Thursday, our band has raised over $8800! Our goal of $20,000.

  • Share our donation site (Click Here) to your family and close contacts. Encourage the adults in your home to share this with their coworkers.

  • The reality is we have too many that are not meeting expectations and we are also far away from our goal.

    • Only 2 have met the baseline expectation of having 20 contacts.

    • 25% of all percussionists have 0 contacts.

    • Supply Check - Organized Flip Folder by Thursday

  • Fundamentals Set 3 - Due next week - Minor Grade

  • Part 4 Pass Off (memorized at tempo) - Due Tuesday, Sept 9 - Major Grade

  • 2 Mallet Solo Pass Off 1 - Due Saturday, September 13 - Minor Grade

    • All Region Cut - Top - C

    • First Year Solo - Half of first solo
