Percussion: Week of September 15-21
Great job at the Drumline Showcase! This was the best yet and you represented yourselves well. We gained confidence and learned lessons a week ahead of our first contest.
Eligibility is determined this week and we officially kick off contest season this Saturday at the North Texas Drumline Contest.
Cycle 1, Week 6 (B Week), September 9 - 21
Monday
During A1 - Bloom Run and learn new stands tunes.
After School Rehearsal from 3:30-5:30pm at Naaman Forest
Tuesday
During B5 - Battery will not go outside, focus will be new stands tunes and the Bloom.
During B7 - Front Ensemble, focus will be the Bloom
No Rehearsal After School - A great day for tutorials!
Wednesday
During A1 - Bloom Run and Review new stands tunes.
After School Rehearsal from 3:30-6:30pm at Naaman
Thursday
During B5 - Battery will go outside to run drill team, focus afterwards will be to load the trailer, then Timpani Solos!
During B7 - Front Ensemble, focus will be a run of The Bloom, load the trailer, then Timpani Solos!
After School Stadium Rehearsal from 4:00-7:00 at Williams Stadium
Friday (B Day)
During B5 - Unload the trailer, then focus on The Bloom
During B7 - Unload the trailer, then focus on The Bloom
After School - Football Game at Rowlett from 3:00-11:00 at Homer B Johnson (HBJ) Stadium

Eligibility - Current Magic Number is 7
The Week 6 progress report determines student eligibility. This is the most important progress report of the entire year. Students that do not meet eligibility will not be able to participate in the entire competitive marching season.
Students need to have a grade of 70 or higher to be passing.
Missing assignments are the number 1 reason students do not have a passing grade. Make up all missing assignments this week as we do not have after school activities on Thursday or Friday.
Plan to attend tutorials in classes that have lower grades. However, work with your teachers to avoid missing after school rehearsals.
At the time of this newsletter, 7 students are currently failing classes, 2 more than at this time last week.

Our contest season starts on Saturday, September 20 with the North Texas Drumline Contest at Forney High School. Please take a look at the events page for details on the day.
Rehearsals This Week
We have rehearsals on Monday, Wednesday and Thurday this week
Rehearsal on Thursday will be from 4:00-7:00 at Williams Stadium.
